Wild and Free began as pure sensation — the feeling that rises in you when you encounter something beautiful and overflowing, freely given by the natural world without asking anything in return. Working in my signature mixed media language of torn paper collage, acrylic, and pastel on panel, I let the forms spin and cluster and radiate outward with the same loose abundance of a meadow in full summer. The sweeping teal lines move through the composition the way wind moves through tall grass — wherever they want, without apology. My hope is that this painting gives you that same feeling of wildness and freedom, that involuntary catch in your chest when beauty simply stops you in your tracks.
